Let me do you and your Valentine's date a favor: do not order the fettucine alfredo at dinner. It sounds like a great idea, but 20-minutes later, there's a rock in your stomach, and the romantic mood is starting to fade.

It's true, what you choose to order at Valentine's Day dinner can actually effect your mood, physical feelings, and appearance. Luckily, there are some great tips you can use to choose a more happy-belly meal.

Here's one to get your started:

Carefully choose your meal's preparation method to getting a lighter, healthier dinner.

Some examples of less-healthy methods are fried, breaded, stuffed, or sauced. Crispy, buttery, or au gratin are other words that are basically code for full of fat. Healthier methods include steamed, seared, grilled, roasted, poached, or sautéed.
