We are really excited today to announce a continued partnership with Blackstone Entrepreneurs Network! BEN has been a key partner of ours since we started in 2012,  helping to create a broader network of support for Triangle entrepreneurs. The partnership will increase entrepreneurial opportunities across the Triangle, as well as support a larger Blackstone Entrepreneurs Network initiative in making the Triangle a top hub of entrepreneurial activity in the country.

Seven of their Entrepreneurs in Residence will work out of the space, as well as several of their network companies. HQ members can also look forward to curated advisory sessions with experts at BEN this year!

HQ Raleigh and Blackstone Entrepreneurs Network  partner to expand entrepreneurial opportunities in the Triangle

HQ Raleigh and Blackstone Entrepreneurs Network announced today they would once again partner to provide a broader network of support for Triangle entrepreneurs. The partnership will increase entrepreneurial opportunities across the Triangle, as well as support a larger Blackstone Entrepreneurs Network initiative to harness the unique know-how of successful entrepreneurs in order to strengthen the regional and state entrepreneurship ecosystems and drive economic growth.

Blackstone Entrepreneurs Network is a founding member of HQ Raleigh, which has been offering access to flexible and affordable shared workspaces for entrepreneurs since opening its doors in October 2012. The partnership reflects the Network’s continued efforts to be highly involved as HQ Raleigh expands its shared workspace throughout the Warehouse District in downtown Raleigh as well as Greensboro, N.C.

“Blackstone's intimate involvement in our community has been a critical part of our growth over the past couple of years,” said Jason Widen, executive director at HQ Raleigh. “From mentoring HQ startups, to supporting larger initiatives like Innovate Raleigh, Blackstone is a key partner in making the Triangle a top entrepreneurial community in the country."

As part of the partnership, HQ Raleigh will provide unlimited membership to seven Blackstone Network entrepreneurs-in-residence (EIR) as well as seven select Network companies. The entrepreneurs-in-residence will mentor and provide connections for the companies. Leaders in the Network will also participate on the HQ Raleigh advisory board and the Innovate Raleigh Advisor Board.

The Blackstone Network EIRs will hold a set of advisory meetings with HQ startup companies throughout the year.  Additionally, Blackstone Entrepreneurs Network and HQ Raleigh will collaborate through initiatives like office hours, pitch feedback, programming, and various sponsored events during the year.

“As HQ Raleigh expands throughout the Triangle and finds innovative ways to support the entrepreneurship community, we look forward to the continued collaboration,” said Blackstone Entrepreneurs Network Managing Partner Judith Cone. “The effort has great potential to accelerate the growth trajectory of Triangle entrepreneurial companies as well as create economic opportunities for the region.“
